My Water and My Bread
Many nights behind and many ahead
Starved and thirsty just like everyone
“What to do now?” I said
Let’s look to God, some lead;
Others arouse, " look to the gun"
Still gone: my water and my bread
Stand up, fight for right, we read
And thus God gave us that gun
“What to do now?” I said
Free the prisoners- We’re all mislead!
Claim liberty, claim justice and spare none!
Still gone: my water and my bread
Equality and liberty demand fate’s thread!
The conquest of tyranny is already spun
“What to do now?” I said
Freed them of their wretched head
Justice and liberty, my child, is done
“What to do now?” I said
Still gone: my water and my bread
